Golden Values Coupon Book from Golden Nugget-what is in it?

Can anyone who has had one of these coupon books let me know the types of coupons that are in it? Thanks. Any for Starbucks or restaurants at the GN?

Golden Values Coupon Book from Golden Nugget-what is in it?

I cant remember all the stuff, but I called the front desk and the very nice gal read me the coupons. There were 2-4-1 buffet, $10 free slot play for new members, discount at the retail store, there was a small discount at one of the restaurant but it was a max of $8, some 2-4-1 show offer??

Basically as I am going on a solo trip and already have a card non really applied to me. If you want to know them all give them a call and ask for the front desk. The person who answers should ba able to grab one and read them off for you.

there was also a free room upgrade next visit (whihc we used) and 2 $10 match play

Can the coupon book be acquired only if you book a room online, or can one get it even if you book your room as a package deal from a travel agent?

I heard there were two free cocktails? Is that true? Where would they be at?

The two free cocktails are at either bar on thecasino floor- I believe the one we used is called Claude%26#39;s and is right near the poker room- the other ';eligible'; bar is the International beer bar - which is a long bar that runs along one side of the casino going out toward Fremont St or the Sports Book- they are just bars , not lounges. I believe the coupon says beer or a well drink- once a bartender let us have house wine , while another bartender would not allow it. We usually just use the coupon to have a nightcap on the way to our room- they are just casino bars , nothing very exciting.

there are alos coupons for reduced price drinks in their two ';lounges'; Rush in the casino and Golddiggers upstairs overlooking Fremont St, but both are only good in the very early evening hours - 4-6 pm or so, when both places are pretty dead. We didn%26#39;t feel like sitting alone in an empty room , so have not used those on either of the last two trips.

They are not automatcally given to everyone - some packages include them others not- we asked for a booklet once when we weren%26#39;t given it at check in and were told it was oot ';in our package'; but when we book a Private Arrangemnets package we usually find it is included- not always for other promotions or some airline or travel agent packages though, although we do see lots of folks on group tours lined up to use the buffet coupon, so it varies.

No Starbucks coupons - they don%26#39;t accept any GN coupons at Starbucks and you are always told that when you are given the book. There is usually a free dessert or small discount coupon for either the Grotto or the Coffee Shop ( Carson St) , frequently something for both- but only for a very small amount. We use mainly the BOGO Buffets ( breafast or lunch only) , the two free drinks and the match play ( $10). We have not found much use for the other stuff- the ';room upgrade'; is for a north tower room , which we feel is no upgrade- closer to the casino but a much smaller bathroom than south tower.

Much of the touted $250 value is for acouipon for their very overpriced boutique and one offering I think $25 off any Landry%26#39;s restaurant EXCEPT any in Las Vegas- pretty useless for most people. Also a Budget rent a car couipon - but we do better just shopping around by far- the rentals at GN are expensive compared to the Airport.

We stay at GN four times a year and don%26#39;t find much to get excited about in their coupon book- maybe under $50 total in savings for what we consider usable for us. Nice when we get it- no big deal if we don%26#39;t.

I just got back today from GN. Most of the coupons were worthless. Example...2 free drinks at the International bar. OK..put a 20 in the Video Poker machine at the bar and you have 10 free drinks. The only coupons with value were 2 buy one get one breakfast/lunch buffets. Breakfast was $10 and lunch $11...both worth the price even without a coupon. -- dave

I love the bar coupons, I use them when I am sitting in the sports book and have not bet enough to get free drinks there. I run out to the lounge and get my free drink and bring it back into the sports book.

If anyone still has coupons left over in their books, PM me as I am going in July and October. I would be interested in the room upgrade, the bar drinks and any others if someone is willing to share.

need room upgrade coupons (3) if you have them. will pay let me know. larrykwiat@yahoo.com
