If a hotel check in is 3pm and your flight gets in at 9pm, will your reservation still be held and how long do you have before the hotel can give your room away?
check in timesCall the hotel and let them know your arrival. Also, if you have any requests, let them know that too. Don%26#39;t call the day you are leaving but before hand.
I%26#39;ve had late arrivals and was upgraded to a suite once. Will this happen to you? Maybe or maybe not.
check in timesYou should notify the hotel but 9PM really isn%26#39;t unusual in Vegas. I have arrived at 10/11/midnight . If the plane is delayed I do call them to let them know about the delay and I never had any problems with them not honoring the reservation.
Vegas hotels are used to people checking in at all hours of the day and night, you shouldn%26#39;t have a problem.
9:00 p.m. is not ';late'; by Las Vegas standards. (Or most other cities for that matter)
Thousands of visitors arrive on flights from the east coast of the US on flights that come in at 10:00 and 11:00 at night.
There is nothing unusual about arriving at 9:00 and you don%26#39;t need to contact the hotel about it.
I am pretty sure if you arrive before midnight you do not need to call ahead of time - in Vegas they consider it normal to check in late. Midnight would be the cutoff because it is the end of the day (although rest assured you would still be charged for the night if you checked in at 1 or 2am)
Your room will be held for you. However, Vegas hotels never guarantee room type (King vs. 2 double, smoking vs. non). So know that you might not get exactly the room you wanted.
This is less of a problem at the larger, newer properties, and also less of a problem on weeknight arrivals than weekends.
';Midnight would be the cutoff because it is the end of the day (although rest assured you would still be charged for the night if you checked in at 1 or 2am)';
Midnight would be the cutoff for WHAT, exactly??
If one were arriving after midnight they should call to confirm that they are arriving late....that is what I meant. if arriving before then it would not be necessary.
alot of hotels run no show reports at midnight...and start releasing rooms.
';alot of hotels run no show reports at midnight...and start releasing rooms.';
In Las Vegas? Most properties that I%26#39;m familiar with in LV have lines in their check-in areas at midnight, from the flights arriving from the east coast at 10:00 and 11:00 and the drivers coming in from California (weekends anyway). Why would they run ';no show reports'; when they have a crowd of people waiting in line to check in?
I get your point -
worked in hotel business for years and was just giving my 2 cents - which I thought this forum was for. They did not say where they were staying - so really should check with their particular hotel.
