Family of 5, kids 11, 13, 15. We%26#39;re flying into Las Vegas arriving late then out the next morning to the North Rim. Any reccomendations on where to stay in Vegas, just need a place to stay the night, super amenities aren%26#39;t required. Preferably would like something near the airport, that way we could pick up the rental in the morning rather than pay for a day for it to sit in the hotel parking lot.
Looking for a hotel near the airport for 1 night
The Doubletree is a great choice. Right behind the airport off of the 215, If Im not mistaken they have a shuttle but I could be wrong. Its in an area where you can rent from either Hertz Local Edition or Enterprise off airport location right down the street and avoid airport tax or you are real close to the rental facility if you chose to rent from there.
Looking for a hotel near the airport for 1 night
There%26#39;s a few hotels on Las Vegas Blvd, (the strip) on the other side of the airport. Check out Microtel.
GoodBeer%26#39;s suggestion is a good one.
And, yes, the DoubleTree has an airport shuttle.
The Embassy Suites Airport location.
A new Hampton Inn Las Vegas South(St. Rose Parkway).
A new Homewood Suites by Hilton Airport Location.
Doubletree Airport as someone already suggested.
a new Hyatt Place.
All these hotels are near the
airport area and viewable at www.hilton.com
The Hyatt is viewable at www.hyattplace.com
Microtel is rundown according to the reviews here on TA.
sOUTH POINT big rooms, low price, near the rental center
heard great things about microtel---motel 8 next to hooters looks nice and even hooters is 4 mins from the airport ----that way you can stay in a ';real'; vegas hotel for about 50- 70 a night not knowing your dates
Yes...South Point is new, fresh, and far enough away from the main strip to be somewhat quiet.
It is also not too far from the Airport.
The rooms and rates are usually under $90/night.

Also try the Desert Rose. Very close to the airport. They have 1 and 2 bedroom condos. Very nice and they have a complimentary breakfast. We have always gotten great rates!
