What to bring??

First time to Vegas as an adult and I am wondering what to pack? What would be the necessities besides a big fat wallet!

1. Not sure as per clothes,dressy vs casual.

2. Cooler for room and bringing to pool if you can.

3. Ipod for room.....nice to have music.

What are your necessities when you pack to go to vegas?

Cooler for the room is a good idea, not so good for most hotel pools or at least the ones at the better hotels.

When packing keep in mind, while it%26#39;s extremely hot outside, the casinos have the AC cranked up and many get chilly when inside.

Dressy vs casual? Unless you are going to one of the very top restaurants you don%26#39;t need to worry about dressy. Shorts for day or evening, but unless it%26#39;s a super casual place, I don%26#39;t wear and wouldn%26#39;t recommend them for evening wear except when gambling. I wear capris/cropped pants most of the time and ear casual tops/shirts for day and a nicer shirt/blouse in evening, casual and comfy shoes for day and anytime I%26#39;ll be walking, dressier sandals for evening.

Comfortable shoes. You are going to do more walking than you can possibly imagine!

Mostly casual clothes but I do bring a black skirt/pants and nice a silk blouse in case I go someplace a little dressier.

Thanks Gabbygambler....great ideas...I am going to see Cher while I was there and thought I should dress up for that. I am staying at the Paris do you know if you can bring a cooler down there? One of those soft sided cooler bags.

A couple of clothespins for the drapes to keep the light out. Depends on the hotel.

Also most don%26#39;t have Ipod docks, but some do. All have some kind of clock/radio.

You do need semi-dressy clothes if you are going to any clubs. Same with shoes. We were turned away from the Revolution lounge once because someone in our group was underdressed.

I would also recommend (aside from normal clothing items and good walking shoes):

Wrinkle releaser

Febreeze

Antibacterial gel

Small bills for tipping

Sunglasses

yes I planned on getting some of my money in small dominations so I am ready for the waitress and whoever else I need to tip.....I do the same when I go to a resort as well.
