Taking daughter for 21st b-day - 3 of us in room. We have gotten basically same rate (Orleans $1 per day less including $5 resort fee). Have stayed at Orleans many times - on the strip Flamingo, MGM, Strat - never Bally%26#39;s. Any help with comparison of rooms in South Tower vs. Orleans would be appreciated. Prefer the strip since it%26#39;s her 1st time but it%26#39;s not set in stone. Thanks for any help.
Bally's South Tower vs. Orleans
I too stayed at the Orleans numerous times.
I also stayed in the South Tower at Bally%26#39;s (click on my name for review and photos of room)
I knew the rooms would be old, but view was fabulous. So, the location is the better than the Orleans, room is not, view much better.
We enjoyed the South Tower but now prefer the North Tower for the renovated rooms. All personal choice.
Bally's South Tower vs. Orleans
Vegas Virgin requires a strip experience = BALLY%26#39;s
Kind of what I was thinking but was just wondering how the rooms at each place compared to each other. Thanks for the help.
The North Tower rooms are worth an extra $25, becuase the South Tower rooms are only worth $25.
Females hate crappy rooms.
I do part-time travel agent work and it is the #1 question/concern females(of all ages).
I tell them you can stay in a prison cell or Park Ave. it%26#39;s up to you. The price difference in Las Vegas between the two isn%26#39;t that much. :o)
I would pay the extra and upgrade to a north tower room at Bally%26#39;s. They are huge with very nice bathrooms and everything is so nice and comfortable. Bally%26#39;s is my favorite place to stay. It is in the perfect location on the strip, connected to Paris and right across the street from the Bellagio. How can you get a better location than that?! The hotel and casino are so easy to find your way around in and I really like gambling there.
And I believe that you should stay on the strip on your first visit to Vegas to get the full effect! We stayed at the Strat on our first trip and while it was fine, staying in the center of the strip would have been so much better.
Whatever you decide, have a wonderful trip!
Upgrade Bally%26#39;s.
I booked the South Tower at Ballys and they automatically upgraded us to the North. This was just a couple of weeks ago.
We stayed at Bally%26#39;s this spring (April) and I had orginally booked a room with a view (it was a package deal) Upon arrival I asked if they had any north tower rooms with a king bed and they had nothing available with a king but upgraded us to a huge suite and said we could change the next day if we didn%26#39;t want to pay for the suite(it was free the first night) Next day we change to a room down the hall which was nicely renovated...no hassle at all to move down the hall.
I agree with person above -- for a 1st timer, a strip stay is a must. Bally%26#39;s gets the nod, even if it means a South Tower room. They%26#39;re very large rooms, views are great (ask for a high floor), and clean if a bit dated (TV on the dresser, not in a wall unit, that kind of stuff).
Bally%26#39;s has a very nice, very underrated pool area as well (IMO).
You might luck up, I too was upgraded from South Tower to North tower for free without asking.
