Lounging Around

Hey Everyone,

Well, my personal countdown is a month and a day so I%26#39;m starting to get (even more) excited about my 4th trip in 3 years!

While I imagine I could find the answers to the following questions by calling the hotels directly, I decided to be ';lazy'; and ask you all instead. :)

Sooo... with the all of the researched-but-mostly-third-hand suggestions I%26#39;ve been giving about casino lounges and other non-competitive party spots, I%26#39;m looking forward to actually experiencing some of them.

Does anyone know if La Scena Lounge @ Venetian has live music on Sundays? I suppose I thought Sunday might be an ';off-night'; for live acts. I%26#39;m looking forward to stopping off there with my lady before/after we see Wayne Brady.

The other question I have is: how late do the live acts play @ Carnaval Court? My buddy and I were thinking of stopping by there on the way back from downtown Monday night. For better or worse, most other evenings will be consumed with convention-related functions.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks vegas247! It looks like we may need to consider rearranging our tenative plans, or else we%26#39;ll miss the bands on Monday night. Unfortunately and ironically, it will be hard to drag any of my associates away from the convention.

that must be some convention you%26#39;re attending. i wish my work would send me somewhere other than the donut shop to get breakfast.

It%26#39;s more of a social convention... and no, it%26#39;s not Lifestyles! LOL

Interestingly enough, I did come out there for work last almost a month after attending the same convention.

While visiting Downtown don%26#39;t forget the many many waterholes. From Casino Bars to places like the Downtown Cocktail, Hogs and Heiffers and the Griffin to name a few to the classic old school dives like the Western and Atomic not to mention neighborhood joints like the Bunkhouse and Icehouse.

Thanks for the suggestions, chitown. In fact, inspired by you and the Mailman, we were already planning to specifically visit the Western and Atomic Liquors, albeit during the day. Would you recommend Bunkhouse and Icehouse for daytime or night?

I am honored

Bunkhouse is close to the Atomic on 11th north of Fremont. Ice Hoses in on Main about a mile south of Fremont. Check their websites. Don%26#39;t forget to hit the Gold Spike while you still can. Gabe%26#39;s on North Las Vegas Blvd near Jerry Nuggets take the 113 CAT bus, is also interesting.

The Gold Spike will be part of our daytime tour along with Atomic and the Western. We may hit some of those other East Fremont establishments you mentioned at night once we pay our respects to the canopy.
