Pre-TR Wynn, PH, Plaza, Hoover,etc

Well...I am officially excited and ready.

We leave tomorrow for a full week in Vegas, staying Friday through Friday. We have a rental car for the first part of the trip and will drive to beautiful downtown Las Vegas where we will check ourselves into the luxurious Plaza Hotel and Casino (after a stop at In N Out Burger). Once settled, we will party downtown style and gamble. Going to try our first graveyard special at Las Vegas club, I think.

Saturday, Bloody Mary%26#39;s,then off to Boulder City for breakfast, and to Hoover Dam. After a self-tour, we are heading to Lake Mead for an afternoon cruise/tour. On our way back to Vegas, we will check out Henderson casinos (Green Valley Ranch, etc.) before our second party night at Fremont.

Sunday we check into Planet Hollywood for a four day stay. We plan to enjoy that part of the strip,focusing on PH and Miracle Miles area, plus MGM, NYNY, Monte Carlo. We have tickets for Roseanne at Sahara Monday night and Elton%26#39;s Red Piano on Wednesday night. Thursday we will check out early and head over to Wynn for a fabulous Wynn room deal and free slot play. When we are there we will enjoy Wynn and Fashion Show mall mostly. Pools, good food and drink,and gambling.

We have so many restaurant.com coupons we have options. Cafe Baba Reba, Chicago Joes, Mickie Finz, Blondies, Ocean One,Tacone Grill, Border Grill.

Somewhere in there we will make it to Hard Rock, Hooters,and Orleans (we don%26#39;t have cards at any of those places yet, so maybe we will getsome freebies)and maybe Sam%26#39;s Town.

Other than the above plans, we will wander,drink, and gamble.

Tomorrow is packing and Champagne while getting ready. Yayyyy

This sounds like a fishy TR...are you saying the Plaza is luxurious?....and of course ...the Wynn is nentioned.

Wow, that seems like a lot to see/do even in a week. You should enjoy the Wynn, try the Terrace Cafe for casual meals. Ask for the golf course/pool view.

lol 2112, she%26#39;s kidding about the Plaza. She bid on a 3 star hotel through orbitz I think and got the Plaza. She was expecting to get another hotel, right javarai?;)

javarai, have a great time. I still think you should stay until the Mega! Looking forward to your TR.

You might want to read the reviews here on TA for the Plaza so you can orient yourself with certain aspects of the hotel and what might to expect.

vegasvarment is correct, it is mind over matter. I just needed a weekend downtown place and decided I might as well try Hotwire and take a gamble. Didn%26#39;t expect to get Plaza, so decided to make the best of it. I just might be surprised because my expectations are actually low. But, we are also not prima donnas. We like and prefer nice places, obviously. We are looking forward to Wynn and we enjoyed Bellagio before, but when not in Vegas we stay in any range of places right down to old Super 8%26#39;s. So, if our room isn%26#39;t acceptable, we will ask for another till we get one we like well enough.

VV, I should just stay in Vegas from the 13th till the end of the Mega, since I may be returning with someone else on June 29th....but that would be just crazy. Will write my trip report for sure.

Bridgefan, no, we won%26#39;t be drinking and driving. We have no desire to hurt ourselves,others, or end up in jail. That would be a perfect way to ruin a vacation!
