Old school versus new school.
WOW, my first trip to Vegas and I went solo. I tell you I%26#39;m a morning person but this place kept me to a maximum of 3 hours sleep at day. Hell I%26#39;m back home today and I%26#39;m still hyped up to the max !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read the reviews and see lots of bad ones for the old school resorts, aka, Circus Circus , Sahara, Riviera, and so on. I%26#39;ll say this. I loved all of them. Wynn, Venetian, Paris, New York New York, all nice and new but I also do love the ones that have the history.
The only bad thing was the HEAT, my goodness, I feel for those who have to work it in.
Had the best time just walking around and checking out the scene. It%26#39;s probably the only place where the rich mix with the average jo and all is grand :)
Vegas was amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep thats why we are addicted to Vegas, so when are you going back lol.
Vegas was amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great!! glad you had a good time, especially solo, sssooooo, when is your return trip planned???
WRT the negative reviews: There%26#39;s a big difference between visiting a low-rent casino, and actually staying in its hotel. I enjoy playing at places like Tropicana, Casino Royale, and Plaza, but I would not stay there.
Glad you had a fun trip - would love to read a trip report.
NEXT WEEk, LOL. I wish but I learned DO NOT GO THERE IN THE SUMMER unless you like your face burn off from the sun LOL. Uderwise I would move there !
Glad you had a fantastic trip! That%26#39;s why we all love VEGAS!!!!!!
Yup...I get pysch%26#39;d booking the trip, waiting for the trip, after the trip and planning for the next trip.
Like stratton says its good to go into the old places and play...i always do. Casino royale..O%26#39;Sheas...IP :)
Stratton is right, I am judging just by being in the hotel%26#39;s casino and walkabouts.
I stayed at Circus Circus on a great deal ( I%26#39;m cheap ), well I had a room there, it was nice, king bed, clean and quiet ( surprisingly ) , I had no complaints. And on my last full day I explored the place and WOW, it%26#39;s got so much if you have kids or are a big kid at heart ( like moi :) )
Next time I think I want to stay in downtown :)
It sure is fun.
I leave in two days (today is the last day of school, woo hoo!) and am looking forward to whatever heat Vegas has to offer me this time. I know it is hot, but we in the Northwest have had nearly winter-like weather this past week. We got 6-12 inches of snow reported in the NW Blue Mountains and snow on Snoqualmie pass. Where I live is normally very hot in the summer, usually getting above 100 at least some of the time, and yesterday%26#39;s high was 55 degrees while pouring rain.
Bring it on!
I envy you Javarai !!! lol
I come from Ottawa Canada, yep, it was a little to hot for me. I have the cold winters and humid summers :( So it was my first taste of dry heat and OH BOY, lol
I%26#39;m glad you had a good experience with Circus Circus. I think every hotel has its defenders. The important thing is to know what to expect. For example, I am staying at Flamingo in a couple of weeks. I have read a number of reviews about how run-down and dirty people%26#39;s rooms there were, so I am prepared to insist on a clean and functional room and the possibility I may not get one on the first try. Even if I get a lovely room right away, I am grateful for the critical reviews because they warned me of what to expect.
