Anyone ever rented a car from payless rental car?? Got a cheap quote for 95 bucks for 5 day April 3 - 8. Just nervous that it might be to good to be true!!
Payless Rental Car
I use Payless exclusively and have never had a problem. They always seem to have the best rates. Payless is not popular with people on this forum but I think they%26#39;re great. Just don%26#39;t let them pressure you into taking added on insurance. They will try though.

veags-
Thanks for the info. Do they put a hold on your account for a deposit or anything??
Most every rental car company puts a hold on credit cards.
I would not automatically assume insurance is not needed. Unless you have comprehensive coverage on your personal vehicle you need coverage for a rental vehicle. If you need insurance you can get private insurance cheaper than offered thru the rental car companies though.
See epinions.com, interesting comments.
Hotwire.com uses companies like Hertz and Avis, offering $95 plus tax, $139 total, for a midsize those days.
We rented from Payless one year and had no problems at all. Staff was friendly, drove us right to the vehicle lot, loaded the luggage, etc.
I wouldn%26#39;t hesitate to rent from them again.
We are renting a car, since we will be going to Arizona also, and we need a big one, since there will be 7 of us. I got a great quote from, National, to pick up at the airport, hope it is there, since we need such a big one, I reserved it, and they said they wioll have to get one for us somewhere, hope so. We are paying almost $300.00 for 3 days, it is supposed to an expediate or so. Makes no difference to me, as long as we can all fit with seatbelts, and it is to have a GPS, which we paid extra for.
We had a nasty experience with Payless in Toronto...they said that we needed to provide a ';Canadian Non-Resident Interprovincial Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Card'; or else pay the CDW/LDW fees. Yeah..right. We told them that the VISA Signature card paying the charges *and* our Auto Insurance covered this, but they told us that unless we provide proof, we would be charged. Of course, that%26#39;s stuff you carry around on a trip, right? We had to find all the paperwork and have it faxed to avoid the $24.95 a day charge...some savings over the ';mainline'; rental firms. Stay away!!!
the only problem (for me) is that they don´t have GPS available.
