I%26#39;ve been pursauded that the only way to see the Grand Canyon from Las Vegas is to drive there (and back)! Is it roof off or a/c in a chunky 4x4?
Thanks.
Soft top or 4x4Depends on the time of the year. Not a lot of point in renting a convertible during the summer when air conditioning is of way more importance than looking cool.
It might be fun for cruising the Strip at cooler times of the year but for a trip to GC I%26#39;d personally always lean towards to the extra room and comfort option whatever the weather.
Soft top or 4x4Thanks.. should have said.. July.
IF you are going to the West rim I would suggest a 4x4 the road is not fit for a car. We had a small car rental and it was very rough. Have a great time.
Thanks guys.. now just need to settle on which Las Vegas hotel for the last two nights of our 28 day trip! I just can%26#39;t decide!!
What hotels are you considering?
Hotels, well it%26#39;s only two nights. We have an evening followed by a fullday so we just need to take in the sights on the strip and sit by the pool (before that long trip home).
Like the look of the Venetian (which gets great reviews overall), confused by MGM (is it a few hotels?) and started with Luxor (good and bad reviews and further down strip).
Looks like we can get two seperate rooms (escape the boys - may want to after 26 days!) in the Luxor for around 500 dollars, or a single room in the Venetian for around the same.
