me and the girlfriend are staying here end of july and not heard great things on some sites. not really that bothered about the rooms etc as not really planning on been in it for that long. Anyone stayed here before or got any opinion on it. Heard the pool is pretty good and to be honest it was cheap!!

Well, if you%26#39;re just going to be there to use the pool and pass out at the end of the night, you%26#39;ll probably be alright. You might want to try to get a room in one of the towers as they are reputed to be in better shape.

robbo, you really should do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I would not recommend this place to even my mother-in-law. Check out some sites like smarterlasvegas or fatwallet and you will probably get something way better for not too much more. This is just my opinion.

The Tropicana smells like someone%26#39;s musty, damp old basement. I%26#39;d break up with my boyfriend if he wanted me to stay there. I think even Imperial Palace is a step up from the Tropicana.

I haven%26#39;t been in a room at the Tropicana but the overwhelming damp carpet smell throughout the entire ground floor level was disgusting. I would not recommend anyone staying there for this reason alone.

If I could choose which building should make way for redevelopment the Tropicana will be on top of my list.

The standard Garden Rooms aren%26#39;t great at all. The tower rooms are nicer and you should try and upgrade into these if possible. The cheaper tower (Island Tower I think) is only $10 per night extra.

I was actually disappointed in the Tropicana pool. The adult pool area smelled rank. The waterfalls and ponds around the grounds are using some kind of recycled water that just smells funky.

I%26#39;ve heard that the Flamingo is offering some good deals. And that their pool is one of the best on the strip. I would check that out.

The Excalibur across the street usually has comparable rates to Tropicana and while some people here will tell you it%26#39;s a dump, it%26#39;s better than the Trop and gives you more freedom to eat and play at their great sister properties.

I hated the Garden room, the Island tower used to be Ok, but on my last stay.. it was horrid.. The Paradise tower was Very nice.

I agree with most posters here. First off there%26#39;s a long walk to the tower, through the casino, then the Trop Shops.. And plumbing was just horrible, my tub and sink were always clogged. The housekeeping lady called the maintenance guy and he put a drano in it but it started clogging again on the following day. Would recommend Imperial Palace for that budget range.

ha ha thanks for the help. looks like i may just have to get even more drunk than planned. Mate stayed there about 6 months ago ans said it was ok. I dont think he likes me. oh well
