Air and Hotel Package Deal

My husband and I and also bringing 83 year old grandma will be attending a wedding in Oct at the Paris.I will be booking on-line an air/hotel package. I think Bally%26#39;s would work best for location and price but very confused over the many reviews. Does anyone know if the S. Tower rooms will be in the package?? I don%26#39;t think I can request anything special when booking on line. I also thought about Mirage and Flamingo but also worried if we would get the run down rooms. I would like to stay in the hotel that makes it easy for grandma to get back and forth from room to casino. Thanks

I will be staying at the MIrage in July and when I phoned and requested a renovated room they said it `should`nt be a problem`! The way I understood there reno`s they are all being done and will be complete by the end of August so that would be fine for a October trip. Also at the flamingo only the deluxe rooms are not renovated as long as you don`t book that room you will be in a re-done one. Bally`s I am confused too, I believe the south tower is the not so great one and the North tower should be fine...I think!

I%26#39;m not sure how you expect an answer. How do we know what%26#39;s being offered in your package? The package isn%26#39;t through Bally%26#39;s it%26#39;s through a 3rd party, so even if you call Bally%26#39;s they probably can%26#39;t give you an answer. The only one who can clarify this is the TA you are booking the package through.

But I would guess (based on my past life experiance) that the package includes the room option that is cheapest for the TA.

Thanks for the information about the Mirage I may need to give more thought to it, how about getting around the Mirage and over to the Paris would that be pretty easy for grandma? I was also hoping somebody might have had past expierence booking on-line and maybe being able to make a change in rooms once we arrived for check in. So many of the reviews about Bally%26#39;s seem to indicate they are not very co-operative about changing rooms from S. Tower to N.Tower Is Oct a busy month? We will arrive 10/23 and leave 10/27.

Your online third-party booking does not assign you to a specific room, only a category of rooms. But even there, you may be able to switch to a different category of room at checkin, either for free or for an upgrade fee, based on availability.

My advice is, if you really want a certain tower or type of room, and the package doesn%26#39;t give you that option on the website, call up the website and ask - they may be able to reserve it as part of the package for an extra cost, or you may have to take the basic room and try for the upgrade at checkin.

On your other question, Bally%26#39;s would be by far the best option for grandma because it%26#39;s connected to Paris, she would not have to go outside to get there.

I appreciate all the help. I noticed today on one of the post about US Airway packages it was suggested after getting conformation # then call to the hotel to make any room request. I am looking at Alaska Air Vacation packages so I think I will try doing the same. I saw on trip advisor Bill%26#39;s Gamblin Hall is the #8 choice by reviews, it seems to be a smaller hotel/casino and also a good location and price range, any current opinons. The reviews all seem to indicate no need to be concerned about a ';run-down room';??

why not stay at Paris? You%26#39;ll be near the wedding party. None of your other hotels mentioned are any better so why give up convenience? Hotels are far apart - even if soemone says ';right next to'; it can be a long distance, and that%26#39;s just to the front door. Then you navigate inside the property. Is this something you want to do?

Insight from someone who knows LV and is trying to decide which hotel to stay at with his 80 year old father.

In your situation Paris would be a good choice even though it probably costs a little more.

I will probably pass on Bally%26#39;s because my Dad has a lot of trouble sleeping and a lot of rooms at Bally%26#39;s would be too noisy for him. The South Tower has views of Bellagio, but if you can see the fountains you also hear the fountains. Many of the North Tower rooms are near the street and there is also noise there. Also the casino floor at Bally%26#39;s is a lot more crowded with machines and people now than it used to be, and my Dad would have trouble navigating there.

I forgot too mention Bills. We will visit and if possible see Big Elvis, but won%26#39;t consider staying there. Almost all of the rooms are much too noisy. And the casino is small and compact and very difficult to navigate when crowded.
