bus from vegas to san fran

It does and I did it ( once) but I sure don%26#39;t recommend it- the trip takes anywhere from 14-17 hours stopping at lots of little bus stations and you have to change buses once.

Have you looked into taking Southwest Airlines , which will get you theer in almost no time and much more pleasantly. they have several flights a day both from San Francisco and from Oakland , which is also nearby- both are accessible by teh BART rapid transit. Southwest doesn%26#39;t post their fares and schedules on any other website but their own at www.southwest.com- and only puts up reservations for a few months at a time( right now through October). I heard the fares/schedules through December are coming about June 26.

I don%26#39;t know if any other bus line runs to Vegas , but whoever, it is a long trip- Reno is much closer to San Francisco than Las vegas- Los Angeles is a much closer place in California from which to get to Las Vegas- San Francisco, I%26#39;d definitely look into flying. Once was enough for me!

Sorry for the typos( not enough coffee this am!) The website is www.southwest.com if you want to take a look.

hi we travelled from vegas to san fran a few weeks ago on our trip and managed to get a flight with american airlines for 79 dollars and it only took 1 and 1/2 hrs

Virgin America also fly this route, The prices seem pretty reasonable too.

I have never seen a rate from Virgin that is comparable to other airlines and in fact they are sometimes more than double what I would pay on JetBlue which is their closest competitor. If you need hip mood lighting and 14 bazillion mp3%26#39;s on a 1.5 hour flight then they might be OK, but since JB doesn%26#39;t serve that route, I%26#39;d look into SWA or others. You can check www.kayak.com for other carriers and their pricing.

Just picking a random day in Sept. jetBlue had a rate of $64 to Oakland via Long Beach and Virgin was $86 to SFO. I%26#39;m guessing you fly can non-stop on SWA for about the same price as jetBlue.

thanks for your help

i though it didnt take that long. did a trip from la to vegas last year and took 4 and a half hours.

i think we%26#39;ll fly
