Info on hotel, any suggestions??

I was looking at first at the Bellagio and MGM Signature but figured they might be too luxurious and not fun enough. What hotels on the strip you think offers the best combination of bang for the buck. I like pools, I want my room to be nice and clean, plus if they have good food its a plus for me.

Are there any underated hotels that you can think of that might be close to a 4 and a half or 5 stars? This is my first stay in Vegas, I would like it to be a nice one.

Thanks in advance

By the way, during the day at the pool, you need to pay ur drinks, people have given me prices that range from 10 dollars to 15 for a drink. Do they allow you to bring your own beer and stuff. Not to be cheap there, but for someone who likes to drink at the pool, I dont want to spend 80 bucks a day.

Flamingo GO rooms meet your criteria, they are mid strip, across the street from Caesars %26amp; Bellagio, they have one of the better pool on the strip. The beds are very comfy cause they are the Ultra soft pillowtop mattresses, you have a TV in the bathroom mirror, you have hi tech electronic in the room like iPod docking station, CD/DVD player electronic window, 42'; flat panel TV, top of the line sound system. You can go to their website %26amp; check on hot deals, or check to see if it meets your criteria in a great stay for you. BTW you can take a ice chest at the Flamingo, lots of others don%26#39;t let you. The website to check it out is www.harrahs.com on top click on LV then hotel (Flamingo) then hot deals or hotel overview for great rates.

Paris maybe another good option %26amp; being close to the center of the strip, but the pool is average, every other things is very nice there, you can check it out on Harrah%26#39;s website as well www.harrahs.com

Good Luck in finding what you are looking for in a great stay. BTW you can check out the pool on their website as well to see if you like what it has to offer.

If you%26#39;re wanting something ';close to a 4 and a half or 5 stars'; then the Flamingo most certainly doesn%26#39;t meet your criteria. It%26#39;s a nice 3 star property.

If you%26#39;re looking for a combination of luxury, a fun atmosphere, a great pool and great restaurants then Mandalay Bay is the hotel that%26#39;s screaming out at me, but it%26#39;s very difficult to offer any definite recommendations without a clue about how much per night you want to spend and when your trip is (midweek or weekend).

Officially you can%26#39;t take your own drinks into a pool area. In reality if you%26#39;re discreet it shouldn%26#39;t be a problem. Strictly no glass containers under any circumstances.

I agreee with blagger%26#39;s suggestion of Mandalay Bay, seems to have the things you want, if not there, then maybe the Mirage, awesome pool area there. I also agree with his assessment of the Flamingo, it is not a 4 star hotel, a solid 3 instead. Mirage is in a great location on the strip.

As for taking your own drinks to the pool......discreet is the word. If you have a small flask, then order the mix you want from the bar or cocktail waitress at the pool. I wouldn%26#39;t try to bring a cooler into the pool area with me though. Also, the prices you were told for drinks at a pool are close to being correct.

agree with the flamingo but it is a 3 star, but the cost of the room will be less than the bellagio, mandalay bay and that means more to gamble weh ehhhhhhh!!

the price of drinks at the pool, why are they so expensive, if the hotels lowered there prices we would all buy more rather than trying to sneak them in, maybe if they istalled underwater slots they would be free lol

i would stay around the hotels where the mirage and harrahs are a good area to stay in

The drinks are expensive because they don%26#39;t want you at the pool. They want you in the casino where the drinks are free if you are gambling! ;)

Yeah, Flamingo certainly isn%26#39;t a 4 - 5 star property, but pool is very nice.

What about Caesar%26#39;s? Haven%26#39;t stayed there, but maybe someone who has can chime in.

Or if not MGM Signature, what about MGM? Great pool area. Same w/Mandalay Bay.

What about MGM Grand? You can a very nice room there for a good price and they have a great pool area. Before you call them check on smartervegas.com to see what discount codes you can use then call the hotel directly.

that is ';you can get a very nice room'; TA we need an edit button!!!!
