Which room/suite @ MGM to book??

Hello!

We are going to be staying at MGM and would like to book a room or suite that isn%26#39;t outrageous but nice. Some of their suites are pretty affordable so we weren%26#39;t sure which to book. . . Any insight or recommendations?

Thanks

I had a celebrity spa suite. It was nice but I wouldn%26#39;t pay more than an extra $30 a night for it. The Grand Tower room should suffice.

Which room/suite @ MGM to book??

The Signature @ MGM Grand is new(1-2 years old) and has nice studio and 1 bedroom suites. www.mgmgrand.com and then scroll to the bottom and click on Signature.

The Thing is the Suites at MGM Grand haven%26#39;t been renovated since 2000, and some of the larger ones haven%26#39;t been redone since 1994 when the hotel opened. So they aren%26#39;t anything special, just more room.

I was told MGM Grand will start to renovate their rooms at the end of this year or beggining of next year.

Treasure Island has newley renovated Suites(petite, Executive, and Tower) and are $149-$179 when the rates are reasonable. www.treasureisland.com

I think I had a 1994 suite.

I have yet to encounter a room at MGM that wasn%26#39;t in good condition. Only in Vegas do people get so spoiled with brand new hotels popping up all the time that they think a hotel room has to be renovated every three years in order to be nice.

If you%26#39;re not dead-set on having a suite, my advice would be to book a standard Grand Tower room and then ask about upgrades at check-in. Usually they will have some sort of suite available for an upgrade fee that is cheaper than what you would pay to book beforehand. On the chance that they are fully booked, you will still have a nice, good-sized room.

The Celebrity Spa Suite is nice. The room itself is just bigger (acres of space, well not literally) but I really liked the bathroom, felt very luxurious certainly compared to other Vegas bathrooms I have had.

I would certainly opt for the Celebrity over the Hollywood and definitely over the Bungalow.

This year as there is no celebration we are just sticking to the standard room in the MGM but we were very tempted to pay extra for that Spa Suite again.

Got the room for $69 Sun-Thurs which includes 2 cocktails at the West Wing Bar and $25 dining credit. Bargain!
