south point hotel

we have just booked a trip to vegas july3rd-6th for long weekend and booked our hotewl at south point hotel anyways my question is, is the south point really that far away from the strip . we chose the south point hotel cuz we are taking our kids and they had great prices but now im worried if i should cancel and eat a service fee to be atleast on the strip.

south point hotel

South Point is a nice, newer hotel on the far end of LV Blvd.. You are a 5 minute straight shot to the major places on the strip. I would just cab it. It is good for kids as there are movies, arcade and bowling. Nice pool.

south point hotel

aprilr, we stayed at the South Point in April, and we liked it so much that we booked again for our 6/16 trip. It is quite a ways from the strip, but in my opinion, that%26#39;s part of the appeal.

We used the bowling lanes one night, and had so much fun. Since you%26#39;ll have your children with you, you probably aren%26#39;t too concerned about the casino, but it%26#39;s a nice one. It%26#39;s a bit plain by Vegas standards, but has lots of fun slots, and table games.

The food was good in the different eateries as well. I haven%26#39;t seen the pool yet as it was still being remodeled last time we were there, but it%26#39;s open again now, and that should be fun for the kids as well.

I wouldn%26#39;t cancel, it%26#39;s a great place. The rooms were so big, we were really happy with them.

Good luck whatever you decide to do.

It is 4-5 miles away from the strip. Not very far and there isn%26#39;t alot of junky buildings, bad area, ect. between the hotel and the strip becuase it is a newer area.

I love South Point.

I took their free shuttle to Mandalay Bay, then crossed the street and took the deuce down the strip.

This is a great hotel. Nice rooms. Well kept property. If you don%26#39;t have a car use their free shuttle for sure. You will love it.

I agree with all the other posters. We stayed there a few weekends ago and loved it! The rooms are huge and very nice. They have a great buffet (I%26#39;ve only eaten the breakfast buffet there).

As others said...either get a rental car, or take the free shuttle to Mandalay Bay.

Not sure if you%26#39;ll have time, but the spa was great too!

We really enjoyed it, and will definitely go stay there again (and we live here...lol!)

You made a good choice, especially if you have kids with you. A fun choice for the 4th of July...there is a concert at the Mandalay Bay Beach, Vertical Horizon with fireworks afterwards. The kids can swim in the pool while the concert is going on.

South Point is a good choice for those with kids.

It is a relatively new property, with a lot of things for kids. Fook is excellent as well.

You will want to rent a car in that it is a good 5 miles from the strip.

Stay there.

My brother in law was happy that his kids could go see a movie, or hop into the arcade with ease.

Food prices are also cheaper. I think it%26#39;s less than $7 for a buffet breakfast.

Take the shuttle to Mandalay Bay for free access to the strip.

I have been to Vegas twice Ist time we stayed at NYNY and the second was at South Point and I preferred South Point, bigger rooms, Plasma/LCD Tv, Bathroom with separate sink area and Coffee Maker, comfy beds and the distance to the Strip isn%26#39;t too far take the free shuttle or the trolley. And it is much cheaper than a Strip Hotel.

Great for kids with cinema, bowling, equestrian and not bad restaurants.

I would recommend South Point
