Tahiti or Tahiti Village in Las Vegas

Has anyone heard of these places? I believe Tahiti is already built and Tahiti Village is under construction. My sister has a timeshare but has never used this facility. Is it near the strip, would you recommend it? Any and all advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Tahiti or Tahiti Village in Las Vegas

My husband and I are owners at Tahiti. It is on Tropicana, about a 10 minute ride from the strip. It is a nice property, and we are very pleased with the company and the property. I would recommend it.

Tahiti Village is under construction and it is near Mandalay Bay, on the strip. This building is going to be great too from what I hear.

They have activities scheduled weekly and they also have a concierge there too, in case you would like shows booked. The pool area is great, and they have 2 pools...A warm one and a cool one. I really feel like I am not in vegas when staying there...

If you have any specific questions, please ask me :)

I really enjoy staying on the strip when we visit Vegas. Was it a hassle to get to and from the strip we will have a car. We are going for my 40th and I really would like to be able to have as much time to celebrate and enjoy my time instead of shuffling back and forth just to get some where. My sister bought Tahiti Village over a year ago, It was suppose to be open this spring. One of the reason they bought it was so we could go after the grand opening. Well needless to say it is not opening until Spring of 2006. They can get Tahiti which looks nice, yet I am very afraid of the location and no casino on sight. Sometimes I am a night owl and my husband prefers to gamble in the early morning hours after he nap. Thanks for your help.

I didn%26#39;t find that it was a hassle at all. Right down the road from Tahiti is the Orleans Hotel and casino, which is like a 3 minute car ride. They offer a shuttle service back and forth to the strip, and the ride usually only takes 10-20 minutes at the tops, depending on where you get dropped off.

If you will have a car, then it will not be a problem to get from place to place. Just avoid driving on the strip as much as possible, as that is what takes the most time to do.

hi,i own at tahiti village. i%26#39;ve been to the tahiti property and it was really nice so i%26#39;m expecting tahiti village to be really great since it%26#39;s on the strip. staying for the first time in may, supposed to be opening in april . have already called and upgraded from what i bought to a bigger unit w/no problems so really looking forward to trip.

In my market (Cleveland), Tahiti Village is advertisng 3 day 2 nights ';at a major strip resort'; for going to the sales meeting (I think it%26#39;s 2 hours). You only have to pay your flight.

Anyone have experience with that?

Just heard the ad. The phone number is: 866 55-GOWIN.

it is legit. ive had nothing but positive dealings with company since i nought last year. i was walking through new york new york and did the tour in order to get free show tickets and dinner...then ended up buying b/c it was such a good deal. i figured if nothing else it was a good investment since it is on the strip. got a ton of freebies after i bought too... a book of buy one get one free trips on cruises or flight and a straight out future flight voucher i%26#39;m using in may(500.00) to go out and stay for the first time.

';...then ended up buying b/c it was such a good deal. i figured if nothing else it was a good investment';

Sorry to burst your little real estate ';investment'; bubble, but it commonly known that exactly ZERO time-shares are ';good deals/investments'; when purchased from the resort from one of their slimeball salespersons.

You do realize that these guys are being paid commission anywhere from 10 to 20% right off the top for every deal they close, right?

Let me know what the offer is for anyone trying to resell their time-share. Resales rarely get even $0.20 on the dollar.

You might want to see what Clark Howard (www. clarkhoward.com) has to say about them. He%26#39;s a pretty savvy investor.

P.S. I%26#39;ll even save you the trip to Clark Howard%26#39;s website unless you REALLY want to get depressed about your ';investment';.

BTW, please don%26#39;t shoot the messenger.

Thank you...

Ripoffs: Timeshares

---------------------------------------------

• Timeshares are a terrible purchase because they cannot be resold. Update!

• The problem with a timeshare comes after a few years, when you no longer enjoy it and it turns out to be a financial burden from which there is no escape. Update!

• Don%26#39;t attend timeshare presentations because you might be tempted to make a huge mistake and buy.

• Prizes that are promised are usually overblown and of little value.
