Help Plan my 4th of July Trip

My boyfriend and I will be staying at the Mirage for 4th of July weekend. We will be arriving Friday at 1pm and we have a Red-I flight returning home on Monday. Being that its our first time I like the idea of seeing Vegas ';on-the-fly';. However, I know we need to plan some things to make the most of our time. I dont want to see any shows so that should free-up alot of our time. I am trying to figure out what would be the best day/time to do some of these things. Help me fill-in the blanks with recommendations and tips :)

Friday- Spend the day walking around the strip go to a fun restraunt and drink! (La Isla?) and go to a nice dinner (Olives?) to watch fountains.

Saturday- Wake up early hit up a goof b%26#39;fast buffet (Spice Mkt?) and walk around some more. Gamble, have a nice lunch ( ? ) and spend some time poolside. Go to dinner (Stack?) and see the 40 Deuce show followed by a classy strip club (Sapphire?) and more drinking (bar recommendation?)

Sunday- Wake up late and hit up a brunch buffet (Mirage?). More time poolside then Fremont experience for some evening sightseeing. Then Fireside Lounge and maybe a club (recommendation?)Followed by a nice, casual dinner (?)

Monday- Last day to do whatever we didnt have time for. Probably a day for shopping.

What do you think? This does look like quite an agenda. Hmmm...

For a club recomendation on Sunday evening is MIX at Mandalay Bay.

It is on the 60th floor and has an outdoor patio. It is not as hectic as some of the other clubs in town. Also it can be less expensive and easier to get in than other clubs.

Tryst, Tao, Lax, Pure, Moon,Bank, Prive, and Body English are the popular places to go currently in Vegas but are often have huge lines, nowhere to sit unless you get bottle service($300), ect.

Jet at the Mirage might be a good option.

It sounds like you already have a good schedule and know where to go.

You sound just like me - planning each and every day.

However, you also need to allow for time just to ';go with the flow';. that being said, make a list of things you absolutely want to do and see and make time for those.

As a recommendation, if you do not have reservations at Olives yet for a Friday night, make them immediately (if you can get them) - otherwise Sunday night might be easier to get in there as alot of people leave after the weekend.

When planning your ';must see and dos'; plan according to location - that should save you time from repeating a particular hotel/casino etc that you have already been to but now want to go to the club there.

Recommendation regarding red eye flight - if possible, try to get your room for a late check out - or even look into paying 1/2 day rate to keep til 8pm (it can be a long day otherwise) and that way you have a place to shower/freshen up before leaving for airport.

I would double check with your airline on that red eye flight every few days. Airlines are canceling Vegas red eyes left and right because they aren%26#39;t profitable anymore.

sounds like you got everything covered. most of what you have already picked sounds great.

for your saturday, sapphire is a nice strip club and depending on how late you get back, i%26#39;d say the best bars are the lounges in the casino. the hard rock center bar usually is happening and it is a place you should see on your first trip.

for a sunday club recommendation i%26#39;d say moon/playboy club or ghostbar because they%26#39;re at the top of the palms casino and have an amazing view of the strip. or any of the major clubs previously mentioned will also be nice.

final word of advice is that i wouldn%26#39;t really try sticking to the agenda. use it as a more casual guide because once you get to vegas, things always change and you don%26#39;t want to be stressing about sticking to a schedule and rush from casino to casino. just go with the flow. haha, we%26#39;ll be there that weekend too so i%26#39;ll just look for the drunk couple in sapphire, lol.

You could try my normal itinerary:

Gamble, drink, drink, gamble, gamble, gamble, eat, drink, drink, gamble, gamble.
